Archives news
- The Zeeuws Archief, the Zeeland archives, have started a scanning-on-demand service. Visitors can queue records for digitization, which will be added to the Zeeuws Archief website where they can be accessed via pay-per-view. [Source: Zeeuws Archief]
- Archives from the municipality of Oud-Beijerland will now be kept by the Dordrecht Regional Archives. [Source: NGV]
New records
- The Roosendaal City Archives have added civil registration records from Essen & Kalmthout and church records of Roosendaal, Wouw, Essen and Kalmthout to their website. [Source: NGV]
- The Zeeuws Archief have added scans of the civil registration records of the municipality of Noord-Beveland to their website Zeeuwen Gezocht (Finding Zeelanders). [Source: Zeeuwen Gezocht Blog]
- Over 500,000 pages have been added to the Krantenbank Zeeland, a database with scans of Zeeland newspapers. This database also includes Dutch newspapers in North-America. [Source: Mijns Inziens]
Project news
- Dutch Exchange students in Holland, Michigan are working on a project to link Dutch descendants with the Netherlands. [Source: Holland Sentinel]
- The crowdsourcing project to enter the population registers of Maastricht was so successful that the volunteers entered all the data in just over three months. 127 population registers of Maastricht (10.5 meters or 35 linear feet) will become available on WieWasWie. [Source: Picturae]
- Het Utrechts Archief, the Utrecht Archives, is starting a volunteer project to index the baptism, marriage and burial books of the 17th and 18th century. [Source: Het Utrechts Archief]
- The Mutual Cultural Heritage program awarded matching funding for several projects, including a workshop for high school students from Utrecht (NL) and New York City (US) and online publication of 4,300 previously unknown letters of the Dutch East India Company. [Source: Dutch Culture]

Conferences
- From 6-8 October there will be a conference in London: All at Sea: the prize papers as a source for a global microhistory about personal correspondence on board of captured ships from the 17th and 19th century. Since England and the Netherlands were often at war during these periods, this includes Dutch letters. [Source: National Archives UK]
- On 7 October in Leiden, there will be a genealogy technology conference Gaenovium, aimed at academics, developers and visionaries at the forefront of genealogy technology. [Source: Gaenovium]
