    • Zij waren nog ongetrouwd toen ze emigreerden, maar reisden wel samen. Ze kwamen op 26 oktober 1847 aan in New York nadat ze de overtocht hadden gemaakt met het schip de France. Vervolgens kwamen ze samen op de Phoenix terecht. Dat schip verging, maar beiden overleefden de ramp.

    On November 21, 1847, the propeller Phoenix perished on Lake Michigan, a couple of miles off the shore from Sheboygan. About 250 people died and only 43 people survived. Most of the passengers were Dutch immigrants.

    • Volgens de brief van Droppers, art. Voges was H.J. Russelink gered en het Huisgezin was gebleven te Buffeloo. Mogelijk wordt hiermee het gezin van Gerrit Jan Reuselink genoemd.
      Een foto van hem staat op Wilterdink, p. 41
      Volgens het bevolkingsregister Winterswijk 1837-1851 is hij vanuit Meerdink-Nijhuis naar de Wooldstraat 3 getrokken. Later komt hij weer terug en wordt geregistreerd als emigrant vanaf deze boerderij.
