  1. Evan D. cuperus says

    Greetings,
It’s not so much that I’m looking for ancestors as I’m looking for existing family. I’ve been able to make connections with the families of my grandfather Pieter Moerman’s siblings, but I have not found any descendants of Hendrikus Hermanus Uiterwijk and his wife Adriana Uiterwijk. From what I’ve found there were 4 or 6 children, the oldest being Roelof (Moerman) Uiterwijk. My 3rd/4th cousins in the Netherlands have long lost contact with this branch of the family. Is there any way of finding some connection? I can be contacted at evan.cuperus@att.net .

    • Hi Evan,
Dutch privacy laws are very strict, so information about living people is hard to come by. I recommend searching websites with online trees to see if one of your cousins happens to be interested in genealogy and built a tree, for example at GenealogyOnline or MyHeritage. If you know their names and where they live, you can try the Phone book.
