This is an overview of the new sources, websites, and other news of the past month.
Sources
- Birth, marriage, and deaath records of Avereest and birth records of Bathmen have been digitized and indexed. They are available via Open Archieven.
- Notarial records of Haarlem and the regions Kennemerland and Amstel- en Meerlanden in North Holland for 1811-1925 have been automatically transcribed. They are now full-text searchable.
- The orphanage registers of Bolsward 1660-1925 have been indexed. The index can be downloaded via cultural center De Tiid (“Weesboeken Bolsward”).
- Abstracts of medieval charters of various manors and convents in Gelderland have been added to Genealogiedomein.
- Conveyances records of various towns around Breda (Alphen en Chaam, Baarle, Breda, Gilze en Rijen, Ginneken en Bavel, Nieuw-Ginneken, Princenhage, Prinsenbeek, Rijsbergen, Terheijden, and Teteringen) 1525-1717 have been digitized and can be consulted at the Stadsarchief Breda website.
- Court records of Berghem, Dinther, Geffen, Kessel, Land van Cuijk, Lith, Oss, and Schijndel have been digitized and index and can be consulted at the Brabants Historisch Informatie Centrum website.
- The photo collection of Jo van der Kaaij, mainly featuring Sint-Oedenrode, is now available online.

Projects
- Large parts of the Fagel family archives are being scanned. The family held several important positions in the Dutch Republic. See the finding aid for descriptions.
- The contemporary finding aids of the Cabinet of the King 1841-1897 are being scanned. These are the subject and name indexes on the royal decrees, which are stored chronologically. This will allow researchers to determine from home whether there are any royal decrees, and they can then order scans of the decree or consult it in the reading room.
- The Zeeuws Archief received a grant to make digitized records about the Moluccan population in Zeeland available online. These records from the 1950s and 1960s have already been digitized. The grant will be used to anonimize the data so the records can be made available online via the Zeeuws Archief website.
- Helmond court records 1396-1810 are being digitized and automatically transcribed. They will be publisihed at the Regionaal Historisch Centrum Eindhoven website.
- The Central Bureau for Genealogy is indexing requests for passports in the Dutch East Indies. Volunteers can report to Het Volk.
Archives
- The House of Representatives of the Netherlands approved the proposed new Archive Law. The law still has to be ratified by the senate, which is expected for 2026. [Source: Nationaal Archief]
- The free scanning-on-demand service of the Historisch Centrum Limburg is limited for the time being, since they are too busy digitizing other records. [Source: HCL]
- A court register of Budel 1743-1765, which had been presumed lost, has turned up and has been turned over to the Regionaal Historisch Centrum Eindhoven. The register, which includes depositions and interrogations, has been reunited with the rest of the series of court records. [Source: RHCe]
- Records of Monumentenzorg, the government service for the protection of monuments, from 1903 to 2013 have been transferred to the National Archives. The records can be consulted in the reading room by appointment. The records are described in the finding aid.
