Upcoming Talk – Was Eleanor of Aquitaine my Ancestor?

I will be giving a presentation for Legacy Family Tree Webinars on 20 August 2025: “Was Eleanor of Aquitaine My Ancestor? Applying the GPS across 30 Generations.”

When I found a line to Eleanor of Aquitaine (1124-1204), Queen of France and England, in online trees, I quickly realized the existing research did not meet standards. I set about verifying the line one generation at a time, to meet the Genealogical Proof Standard. In this presentation, I will take you on my journey, sharing the skills, methods, and documents I used to verify her royal line back to the 1100s.

When: 20 August 2025, 8 PM CEST / 2 PM EDT
Information and registration: Family Tree Webinars

    Goedemorgen Yvette,

“Sorry, the page you’re looking for isn’t here.”

        Hallo Yvette,

Dank je. Het was fun listening in English.

In Generatie 20 zag ik staan:
In 1414-1415, Jan van Wijfliet, son of the late Jan Bac van Tilburg transported a rent in Helmond to Gerrit son of Willem van Doerne, that he had inherited from Willem van Bruheze.8 Willem van Bruheze was Jan van Wijfliet’s father-in-law according to the 1438-1439 court record.

        Groeten,
        Hans
