Here is a list of abbreviations you may find in published genealogies in the Netherlands.

    A’dam = Amsterdam
    R’dam = Rotterdam
    ‘s-Hage = ‘s-Gravenhage = The Hague
    ‘s-Bosch = ‘s-Hertogenbosch = Den Bosch
    D’ter = Deventer
    D’veen = Diepenveen
    etc.
